Meet Maureen! Maureen brings a unique perspective with a trauma informed approach, over 2 decades a Registered Nurse, a Cognitive Behavioral approach to change and extensive educational trainings. With additional training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, DBT, EMDR, Mindfulness, Emotionally Focused Individual Therapy, perinatal mental health, diet culture & emotional eating, and adolescents, her counselling is rooted in evidence-based practice. In Maureen’s view, the therapeutic relationship should be authentic, safe, and supportive of change. Maureen feels honored to share in her clients’ experiences—offering hope, understanding, and encouragement through challenges and triumphs. She focuses on nurturing individuals’ resilience and strengths, firmly believing in their ability to heal. Together, she aims to challenge conventional views of “normal” labels, expectations, and what defines each individual.
